Jean A. Dalmore

Jean A. Dalmore is a Senior Partner at Murchison & Cumming, LLP, where she serves as Co-Chair of the Construction Law practice group and Co-Chair of the hiring committee. Jean’s unique blend of in-depth knowledge of the construction industry combined with her experience in handling complex construction matters of all types underscores her capability to deliver comprehensive early evaluation of liability, damages, settlement value, and strategy. Her broad spectrum of clients includes developers, general contractors, subcontractors in all trades, material suppliers, and design professionals across all construction sectors. Additionally, Jean’s practice encompasses complex issues such as breach of contract, construction defects, delay claims, as well as construction site accidents. Her vast experience over twenty-five years also extends to general liability and business torts, making her a versatile and dynamic litigator.

Jean is also a key member of the Professional Liability practice group. She represents corporations, partnerships, and individuals in insurance and real estate agencies, architectural and engineering industries, and accounting professionals in high-stakes malpractice actions. For over 25 years, Jean has been a trusted advisor to her clients, recognizing the critical responsibility of safeguarding their reputations and livelihoods.

Jean's leadership skills have been influential for not only the firm but the legal community as a whole. She is an active leader within the USLAW NETWORK, where she has previously chaired the organization’s Construction Practice Group and served as co-chair for the Construction Program at various conferences. Additionally, Jean is an engaged member of The Defense Research Institute Construction Group, where she continues to contribute to the advancement of the field.

Jean earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. Jean has dedicated her entire legal career to Murchison & Cumming, beginning as a Summer Associate and working her way up to becoming a Senior Partner. She has earned the prestigious AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for her legal acumen and ethical standards.
