Laurie E. Yoon
Laurie E. Yoon is an Associate Partner in the Northern California office of Murchison & Cumming, LLP. With a broad and diverse legal practice, Laurie has represented individuals and businesses across a wide array of matters, including housing, personal injury, real estate, product liability, premises liability, business litigation, employment, and probate. Her extensive experience encompasses all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling and discovery to motion practice, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal, making her a versatile and formidable advocate for her clients.
Laurie’s personalized approach to service ensures her clients are informed and engaged at every stage of their legal journey. Before joining M&C, Laurie honed her litigation skills on both the plaintiff and defense sides, representing a diverse range of clients in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. This dual perspective gives her unique insight into the strategies and challenges on both sides of the courtroom, enabling her to craft well-rounded and effective legal solutions.
During law school, Laurie demonstrated her commitment to social justice by serving as a certified intern at the Housing Advocacy Clinic, where she represented underprivileged and low-income tenants in the San Francisco Bay Area. She provided pro bono legal services to disadvantaged groups, assisting with immigration, landlord/tenant disputes, and probate matters, further underscoring her dedication to positively impacting her community.
Outside of her legal practice, Laurie enjoys a well-rounded life filled with hiking, playing piano, baking, and attending San Jose Earthquake games. She also loves traveling with her family, always seeking new experiences and adventures. Languages
