Richard C. Moreno
Richard C. Moreno is a Senior Partner in the Los Angeles office of Murchison & Cumming, LLP, with a focus on transportation, product liability, general liability, and warranty liability, and a key member of the Wildland Fire Litigation Practice Group. As the Chair of the Transportation Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm's Product Liability Practice Group, Richard is known for his meticulous approach to handling complex and sensitive cases, particularly those involving catastrophic injuries and multiple wrongful deaths. His dedication to service has been a cornerstone of his career, reflected in his leadership roles at the firm in both the Executive Committee and as Partner-In-Charge of the Los Angeles office. Richard joined Murchison & Cumming as an Associate in 1997. His commitment to building relationships with clients and colleagues, coupled with his deep knowledge of the law, advanced him to become one of the firm's younger Senior Partners, where he continues to lead by example and ensure that the firm delivers the highest quality legal services. With a hands-on method, Richard leads his team of attorneys through all phases of litigation, from onsite inspections to strategic case management, ensuring that every detail is carefully addressed. His expertise in managing the intricate components of Wildland Fire litigation and his leadership in overseeing the Rapid Response Team for transportation cases reinforce his well-rounded proficiency across multiple areas of law. Richard has represented some of the most well-known brands in transportation and international shipping services, consistently delivering exceptional results. Additionally, Richard handles cases throughout the state of California and has tried in excess of 20 cases to verdict. Richard's legal profession extends beyond his own practice. He is a thought leader deeply invested in mentoring the next generation of attorneys, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience in transportation law to shape the careers of young associates. Richard has served in leadership positions within the USLAW NETWORK's Transportation and Logistics Practice Group, including as Educational Coordinator, Secretary, Vice-Chair, Chair, and member of the Board of Directors. Richard is "AV Preeminent" rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Beyond his professional achievements, Richard's service-oriented approach is evident in all aspects of his life, from planning attorney annual retreats to his active involvement in various professional organizations.
