Murchison & Cumming Names Vanessa H. Hubert as New Partner

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce Vanessa H. Hubert has been named Partner. Vanessa focuses her practice on all lines of professional liability defense and employment law. Throughout her 30 years of experience Ms. Hubert has dedicated her practice to advising, counseling, and defending clients in highly complex disputes.

Ms. Hubert started at her previous firm as a law clerk and continued her practice for 27 years; while there she handled catastrophic injury cases, employment, and class action matters. Her decision to join M&C has given her the opportunity to diversify and grow her practice to include other areas in her portfolio. Ms. Hubert combines her expert communication skills with a calm and empathetic demeanor to provide her clients with superior client service and outstanding results. She is a team player who works with each client to achieve the common goal of a positive result.

A graduate of University of California Irvine, Ms. Hubert studied Psychology before continuing onto law school at Southwestern School of Law. She has dedicated much of her career to giving back through pro bono work, serving as a Judge Pro Tem in the Los Angeles County Municipal Court, as well as teaching young attorneys and paralegals various aspects of litigation and is a member of the Mission Effectiveness Committee at La Salle High School in Pasadena. Her compassion for children inspired her to become an advocate for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for the juvenile dependency court in Los Angeles. Upon retirement, she intends to continue her work as a CASA volunteer.
