Murchison & Cumming Welcomes New Associate to Los Angeles

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew R. Follett has joined the Los Angeles office focusing his practice on general litigation matters. Mr. Follett was a Summer Associate and Post-Bar Clerk at Murchison & Cumming prior to successfully completing the 2019 California Bar Exam.
Mr. Follett is a graduate of Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (J.D.), where he was a James Irvine Swinden '79 Scholar. He served as president of the Lynn D. "Buck" Compton Veterans Law Society and worked as an editor on the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review. He also externed for the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew in the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.
Before law school Mr. Follett served for eight and a half years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a counterintelligence specialist. He is a combat-decorated veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan with additional tours of duty in Asia and Europe. His awards include the Combat Action Ribbon, the Navy/Marine Corp Commendation Medal, and the Purple Heart Medal.
He received his undergraduate degree in political science, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
