Murchison & Cumming Welcomes New Associate to Los Angeles Office

Murchison & Cumming is pleased to announce that Katie M. Trinh has joined the Los Angeles office as an Associate focusing her practice on general liability matters. Katie first joined the firm as a summer associate and upon graduating from law school she returned to the firm to await bar results and start her legal career.

Katie earned her B.A. in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University before continuing onto Southwestern Law School. Upon starting law school, Katie fell in love with oral arguments after her first intramural moot court competition. She interned with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office Post-Conviction Unit, Major Crimes Unit, and Preliminary Hearing Unit. Working at the D.A.'s office solidified her desire to pursue a career in litigation.

While in law school, she participated in the Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Monthly Community Legal Clinic that provided free resources to the Asian-American community with services ranging from family law, estate planning, criminal law, civil matters, labor and employment, and government benefits. In addition, she held a leadership position in Southwestern’s Tax Law Society where she participated in the tax clinic providing assistance to the community preparing their tax returns.
