Murchison & Cumming Welcomes Associate Partner to Los Angeles Office

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce Sean O. Perruzzi has joined the Los Angeles office as an Associate Partner. He has a wide range of experience in the legal industry, including practicing as a lawyer and advising small businesses. After working as a consultant and in-house counsel for more than a decade, Sean is back practicing law with a very unique business acumen.

Originally from New Jersey, Sean graduated from Rutgers College with a B.A. in Economics and Physics. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Newark, where with a partner he won the mock trial competition and then the Myron L. Harkavy prize, awarded to a member of the 2L class most likely to succeed as a trial lawyer. During law school, Sean interned with Hon. R. Benjamin Cohen, Judge Superior Court in Essex County, New Jersey, and clerked with Schering Plough Corp.

Sean began his career as an attorney before co-founding a copy-editing company in New York. He moved on to work as a C-suite executive for 12 years, focusing on business operations and working as in-house counsel. Sean believes that having a business mindset with effective listening skills has allowed him to excel in his legal career. He understands what it takes to run a business and that legal challenges may be the most difficult experience his clients could ever face. Spending years focused on risk management, client relations, and working with legal matters molded him into a well-rounded and better advocate for his clients.
