Murchison & Cumming Welcomes Associate to Northern California Office

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce Saba A. Basria has joined the Northern California office as an Associate focusing her practice on law and motion. She is a strong researcher, writer, and strategic thinker who addresses legal issues with her clients' goals in mind.

Saba obtained her bachelor's degree in international studies with a Middle East studies certificate at the University of California, Irvine, before earning her law degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, she interned at a law firm, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, and Council on American Islamic Relations. Saba received pro bono honors and the Faculty Award for Highest Performance in International Justice Clinic. After law school, she clerked in the Eastern District of California for the Honorable Dale A. Drozd. Saba continued to gain experience in international law, human rights, immigration, and copyright law and taught legal research and writing to first-year law students at Golden Gate Law School. She takes joy in finding answers to complex legal questions, developing winning arguments, and the ability to convey them in a manner that is easy for others to understand.

Saba is fluent in spoken Urdu and has volunteered at the Casa Cornelia Law Center, where she translated for Urdu-speaking clients and represented an asylum seeker in immigration court. She is also conversational in French and has studied Spanish.
