Jean M. Lawler, senior partner with Los Angeles' Murchison & Cumming, has become president-elect of the 1,300 member Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, becoming the first woman to serve in such a capacity. She is chair-woman of her firm's insurance law and risk management group.
