LABJ Forum: Now BoardingMarch 8, 2010 Los Angeles Business Journal A renovation project has been launched at the Tom Bradley Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport amid overarching concerns about the need to update LAX. So the Business Journal asks: Steven Kroll I actually try to avoid LAX airport because of the congestion and delays. The airport definitely needs to be revamped. I think they need to do a better job with regard to traffic control around and entering the airport, as well as security lines. Tim M. Agajanian What can be improved is just expansion of the way you get in and out, especially from a business traveler standpoint. I think it's very important for our city. We want to show it is a world-class city. John Hogan I welcome the overhaul. It's long overdue. The terminal is the first and/or last impression of L.A. for many visitors. We can do a lot better. Theresa J. Macellaro In this economy, creating new jobs is a top priority. The airport expansion is anticipated to create 4,000 construction-related jobs and then countless additional jobs through the retail and restaurant space that will be added. LAX is creating much needed jobs. Chris Bracken I really feel like the airport expansion is important because it's going to improve the passenger experience. It'll be a boon to the economy and the tourism industry.
