LOS ANGELES – Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce that Robert C. Powers has joined the firm as of counsel in its Los Angeles office.
Mr. Powers has over 30 years of experience in the area of professional liability and over 20 years in general liability practice. He has defended a wide range of professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, dentists, nurses, hospitals, attorneys, insurance agents and real estate agents in professional liability cases. Mr. Powers handles premises, automobile and public liability cases, and has served as an arbitrator and mediator. His past clients include the world’s largest live entertainment and eCommerce company, Live Nation, and major media conglomerate, Clear Channel Communications, Inc.
He possesses an extensive appellate background with published decisions, including: Morin v. County of Los Angeles, 215 Cal.App.3rd 184 (1989), Tessier v. City of Newport Beach, 219 Cal.App.3rd 310 (1990), and Tokeshi v. State of California, 217 Cal.App.3rd 999 (1990).
Active in the legal community, Mr. Powers served as Judge Pro Tem for the Van Nuys Municipal Court, and has volunteered as a crash settlement officer for the past four years.
