Murchison & Cumming Welcomes New Associates

LOS ANGELES – Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce that Alicia M. Gurries has joined the firm as a Senior Associate, and Chantel E. Lafrades and Kelsey C. Starn have passed California’s February bar exam and have become Associates.

Ms. Gurries will join the firm’s Insurance Law practice group, focusing on insurance coverage and bad faith issues in the San Francisco office. She has experience with matters involving business and construction defect litigation, recovery and contribution actions and declaratory relief and bad faith litigation, including complex law and motion work. Ms. Gurries has also provided coverage analysis of complex claims under commercial general liability policies.

Ms. Lafrades began her career in Murchison’s San Francisco office as a file clerk and will now focus on general civil liability matters as an attorney in the office. Ms. Starn also has previous history with the firm as a summer law clerk in the Los Angeles office. She has assisted with business and general liability litigation.
