Murchison & Cumming’s CFO & Executive Director Volunteers for the Special Olympics

Murchison & Cumming’s CFO & Executive Director, Dave Cunningham volunteered for the 2015 Los Angeles Special Olympics. He served as an escort for the Luxembourg athletes during their entrance into the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Aside from escorting the athletes, he coordinated transportation for the athletes and spectators to and from the various events and venues of the Games.

Dave’s inspiration to volunteer came from his daughter, who plays collegiate softball and participated in various clinics with Special Olympics athletes; he got to know quite a few players and coaches and decided to volunteer his time to help them and the other amazing athletes.

“I felt tremendous pride participating in a worldwide event and it was very heartwarming to see the joy and pride in the faces of the athletes as they walked down the red carpet,” said Cunningham.
