Angela M. McNair

Angela M. McNair is an Associate Partner in the Los Angeles office of Murchison & Cumming, LLP, focusing her practice on Law and Motion. With more than a decade of legal experience, Angela’s background includes significant work in civil rights, educational equity, housing law, and statewide legislative advocacy.

Angela’s love for reading and writing began in childhood through poetry and short stories. That early passion continues to shape her legal practice today. She brings a sharp eye for detail, a methodical research style, and a writer’s instinct to every case she handles. Whether dissecting complex issues or building persuasive arguments, Angela crafts strategies that are both innovative and outcome‑driven.

Prior to joining the firm, Angela held leadership and litigation roles with prominent legal services and nonprofit organizations focused on advocacy, domestic violence services, housing, immigration, and civil legal aid. Her previous work included supervising teams of attorneys and paralegals, overseeing complex state-level initiatives, and co-facilitating multi-organization coalitions aimed at reducing school‑based criminalization. Angela’s efforts have led to several key legislative reforms.

Angela earned her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration and Tier Two Honors with International Distinction from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Outside the office, you can find Angela camping, hiking, rock climbing, or gazing at the stars.
