David A. De Paoli is Of Counsel in the Los Angeles office, where his practice focuses on product liability, general liability, employment matters, and appellate advocacy. With more than 30 years of experience across a wide spectrum of complex civil litigation, David brings a practical, solutions driven approach to assessing risk, managing exposure, and guiding clients through all phases of the litigation process.
David’s background includes extensive work defending high exposure aviation product liability matters, representing commercial airlines and aviation component manufacturers in cases arising from aviation mishaps. He has collaborated closely with engineers, technical experts, and in house counsel to develop sophisticated case evaluations and risk management recommendations for clients in the aviation industry.
His practice also includes significant experience in construction defect, real estate litigation, premises liability, insurance bad faith, ADA matters, employment disputes, and large-scale personal injury actions. David has managed and mentored litigation teams, overseen all stages of case development, and written and argued matters before appellate courts.
In addition to his litigation practice, David served for more than two decades as principal of his own law firm, where he provided strategic counsel on business agreements, dispute resolution, and real estate matters, and played a central role in establishing and structuring a family office for a $2 billion lottery winner, including investment planning, real estate portfolio development, and business entity formation.
David earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and his B.S. in Business Administration (Economics minor) from Cal State Los Angeles. He is admitted to the California State Bar, the California Trial and Appellate Courts, and the Federal District Court.
Outside the office David enjoys riding dirtbikes in the Mojave Desert and playing baseball with his young grandsons.
