Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce Christopher A. Brown has joined the San Diego office as an Associate. He has a wide range of experience representing clients in civil litigation matters, including employment law, personal injury, products liability, construction, and transportation.

Christopher obtained his bachelor’s degree in English Literature at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, before earning his law degree at the University of Dayton School of Law in Dayton, Ohio. While at law school, Christopher worked for the Montgomery County Public Defender’s office. He received the Dean’s entrance merit-based scholarship, which entirely covered his tuition.

Christopher is a strong legal writer and has successfully defended against summary judgment motions from AM100 firms in products liability cases and the states of Mississippi and Alabama in prisoner’s rights cases.

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce Madison Moreno has joined the San Diego office as an Associate. She obtained her B.A. in Communication with minors in Diversity and Law, Societies, and Justice at the University of Washington. During her first year of college, Madison took a class on miscarriages of justice and wrongful convictions and became interested in studying law. Madison believes that good communication supports better outcomes for her clients, and taking time to build relationships and develop a good rapport is key to success.

Madison received her law degree from Seattle University School of Law with an Academic Honors Scholarship and graduated cum laude. While earning her law degree, Madison volunteered in a low-bono legal clinic and accepted a part-time position as a Summer Associate at M&C in the summer of 2020. She continued as a full-time Law Clerk after her second year of law school at M&C. Madison is passionate about Disability Justice and volunteered with Disability Rights Washington for four years before moving back to San Diego, where she was born and raised.

Mark obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before earning his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. During law school, he clerked at a civil litigation defense law firm. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mark has spent his legal career at well-respected defense firms giving back to his community. He finds the thrill and the challenges of trying a case in front of a jury exciting and works diligently to ensure that his clients feel they are a team, working together to resolve their cases successfully.

James N. Kahn is based in the Los Angeles office of focusing his practice on general liability, product defect and premises liability defense. He is experienced in handling a wide array of personal injury matters, public entity defense, business/commercial litigation, and intellectual property. Mr. Kahn has produced significant results for large companies as well as small businesses and individual proprietors.

Todd G. Lezon is based in the Los Angeles office focusing his practice on transportation liability. Mr. Lezon represents defendants in all stages of civil litigation in commercial auto, personal auto, habitability, and products liability cases. Before law school, Todd served in the U.S. Army as a non-commissioned officer and deployed to Iraq twice to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Georgiana A. Nikias is based in the Los Angeles office focusing her practice business litigation, employment law, products liability, general liability, intellectual property, art law, and commercial real estate litigation. Throughout her career, Ms. Nikias has represented clients ranging from corporations and insurance companies to business owners and artists.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Tarik became interested in studying law. To gain footing in the legal field, he worked part-time as an office correspondent in the M&C filing and records department until he started law school. While in law school, Tarik was an associate editor for the San Diego International Law Journal and a business law society member. He received a certificate in Mediation and Arbitration from the National Conflict Resolution Center for his participation in an experimental Mediation Skills class.

Laura grew up in Nebraska and moved to the Chicago area to pursue her B.A. in psychology with a minor in legal studies at Northwestern University. She earned her law degree cum laude at the John Marshall Law School, now known as the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, before moving to California in 2015. While in law school, she received CALI Awards in Torts and Labor Law, awarded to the highest-scoring student in each law school class. She was recognized as a John Marshall Distinguished Scholar and Fred F. Herzog Scholar for her overall academic accomplishments in her legal studies.
