Murchison & Cumming Attorneys Named National Product Liability Counsel For Fuji USA, Inc.

Murchison & Cumming Senior Partner Guy R. Gruppie and Senior Associate Eric P. Weiss have been named National Product Liability Litigation Counsel for Fuji Film USA, Inc., based in Valhalla, N.Y. Fuji Film, Ltd. is the parent company of Fuji USA and is the world’s largest manufacturer of film and printing materials. Gruppie and Weiss, who are members of Murchison & Cumming’s Products Liability Department, will continue to represent Fuji in all California matters and in products cases filed in several other states/jurisdictions.

Murchison & Cumming first began representing Fuji in 2001 and has obtained a number of favorable case outcomes for Fuji in that period. One of the cases, Morris v. Agfa Corporation (2006) 144 Cal. App.4th 1452, resulted in a published opinion where the claims against Fuji where dismissed on the doctrine of forum non conveniens. Senior Partner, Edmund G. Farrell led the representation of Fuji, and all defendants, on appeal.

Five Named Southern California Super Lawyers

Richard Moreno is a member of the firm’s Product Liability and Transportation Practice Groups in the Los Angeles office. Russell Wollman Elected Director of USLAW

Dan Longo Continues History Of M&C Leadership Within ASCDC

Since the inception of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) in 1960, the attorneys of Murchison & Cumming, LLP have been active participants in the development of the association through elected and volunteer leadership positions. Dan L. Longo, a Senior Partner in the firm’s Orange County office, continues this long-standing tradition with his election to a two year term on the ASCDC Board of Directors. Mr. Longo, a member of ASCDC for 15 years, will also serve on the Seminars and Industry Liaison committees.

The ASCDC is one of the nation’s preeminent regional defense organizations, encompassing a diverse group of more than 2,200 members.
