Women's Initiative
The Murchison & Cumming’s Women's Initiative is dedicated to the recruitment, retention and advancement of women attorneys, and to sustaining a positive and supportive environment for the firm's female attorneys. The main goals of our Women's Initiative program are to ensure that women attorneys are adequately represented across the leadership of the firm, its practice groups and with its clients, and to enhance professional opportunities both in and outside the firm.
Our Women’s Initiative is comprised of several subcommittees, each focused on a targeted area to help foster and promote the professional development of our women attorneys.
- Internal programming
The Internal Programming Subcommittee provides women attorneys with learning opportunities via speakers and other attorneys to widen their knowledge base of the legal profession. - Social Responsibility
The Social Responsibility Subcommittee gives women attorneys the opportunity to give back to the community through pro bono and volunteer work. - Professional Development
Co-Chairs – Gina Bazaz, Lisa D. Angelo, Jean A. Dalmore, Arleen Milian
The Professional Development Subcommittee works to advance the professional growth and development of M&C’s female attorneys providing guidance and support in their legal career. Opportunities are identified for increased participation in leadership roles and to assess all options available to them.
