M&C Welcomes Partner to San Francisco Office

SAN FRANCISCO – Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Valarie H. Jonas has joined the firm’s San Francisco office as a Partner.

Ms. Jonas focuses her practice in the areas of first and third party insurance coverage, bad faith and complex commercial litigation, including extensive experience with toxic tort and environmental insurance coverage matters, fine art, specie and marine claims, and employment litigation. She has represented domestic and international insurers, particularly based in London, participating in numerous jury and bench trials before Federal and State Courts in California, Arizona and Washington, where she has been admitted pro hac vice. Her previous experience includes representing the Insurance Commissioner of the State of California in Federal and State Court litigation.

Ms. Jonas was recently selected to serve as a delegate at the 2011 International Fine Art and Specie Insurance Conference and as a speaker at the 2011 ABA Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee CLE seminar.

A Georgetown University Law Center graduate, Ms. Jonas also studied at France’s Universite Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) and Universite Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence. She is proficient in French.
