Richard C. Moreno and William J. Snyder Named Partners of Murchison & Cumming, LLP

Murchison & Cumming, LLP is pleased to announce that Richard C. Moreno and William J. Snyder have been named Partners of the firm.

Richard Moreno is a member of the firm’s Product Liability and Transportation Practice Groups in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Moreno joined the firm as an associate in 1997 after graduating from Whittier Law School and the University of Southern California. Throughout his career at Murchison & Cumming, he has successfully defended several cases that have gone to trial. Mr. Moreno is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates Inns of Court, the Hispanic American Bar Association, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

William Snyder has been with the firm’s San Diego office for over 7 years. He has been an attorney for over 12 years during which time his practice has focused on the areas of employment law, environmental law/toxic torts, catastrophic injury and general liability. He has earned several defense verdicts at trial and arbitration. Prior to joining Murchison & Cumming, Mr. Snyder defended and worked extensively with governmental agencies throughout Southern California. Russell Wollman Elected Director of USLAW

Dan Longo Continues History Of M&C Leadership Within ASCDC

Since the inception of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) in 1960, the attorneys of Murchison & Cumming, LLP have been active participants in the development of the association through elected and volunteer leadership positions. Dan L. Longo, a Senior Partner in the firm’s Orange County office, continues this long-standing tradition with his election to a two year term on the ASCDC Board of Directors. Mr. Longo, a member of ASCDC for 15 years, will also serve on the Seminars and Industry Liaison committees.

The ASCDC is one of the nation’s preeminent regional defense organizations, encompassing a diverse group of more than 2,200 members. Gina Och is a partner in Murchison & Cumming’s Los Angeles office and member of the firm’s Law & Appellate Practice Group. For the past seven years at Murchison & Cumming she has focused her practice on product liability, business litigation, public utilities and international law. Prior to joining Murchison & Cumming, Ms. Och worked as a Research Attorney for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Ms. Och has prepared briefs and argued numerous cases at the appellate level. Guy R. Gruppie Elevated To Senior Partner Of Murchison & Cumming, LLP

Los Angeles, CA – January 5, 2004 – Guy R. Gruppie has been elevated to Senior Partner at Los Angeles-based Murchison & Cumming, LLP. Mr. Gruppie joined the firm as an associate in 1991. He was made an Associate Partner in 1998 and a Junior Partner in 2000. Mr. Gruppie specializes in the defense of product liability, catastrophic injury and business litigation matters, and has tried numerous cases to verdict.

Mr. Gruppie is a member of the firm’s Product Liability Practice Group and has served as Chair of the Firm’s Hiring Committee since 1997. He is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and has served as a volunteer mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court.
